Society Being Out of Tune in Reality throughout the world?

In the blog “Shananigans of the interwebs"  The_One_Girl or Mairah's blog posted, “Missing The Moment” she discusses the article, “Are We Missing The Moment When We Capture It For Instagram?” by Leonard, that states that “Instagram is an addiction” (Leonard, 2014). I believe this statement is true because I have seen more people on their phone rather than talking to an actual person. The_One_Girl states that most people try to take the best picture of a singer rather than enjoying the moment without them trying to enjoy their surroundings. I honestly feel this is how most people are in the world if they can afford the technology. Even for people that state that they are not addicted to Instagram or any other social media, they will do this some point in their life as technology grows more in our environment. In America, this is starting to become a big issue; however, everywhere else that’s making technology more affordable in the world is starting to get as addicted as American’s. The question that I would like to ask everyone that reads my blog is: if we have the power to stop technology controlling us or have people already lost that power? This is not happening to just America but everywhere in the world and we have to accept that fact. I liked this post that the The_One_Girl made and also the article that she put up. It was well done and I highly suggest that the people who read my post should look at this article for themselves.
